West Point flag photo in USA Today

Army honored the military on Saturday during halftime of its game against Temple at Michie Stadium, with the highlight being a field-length American flag displayed by cadets. I trekked up to the roof of Hoffman Press Box to capture the scene, and my favorite image came from my iPhone 5 — check out the panorama I got (above, click to view it larger).

Below, USA Today ran a version I snapped with my 15mm fisheye lens (they cropped it for their gallery). But a pretty cool perspective, you can see the Hudson River on the far right and left sides, Lusk Resevoir, Kimsey Center (on the right) and even Foley Athletic Center (on the far right), the football team’s indoor training facility.
