Photo used by Sports Illustrated in Calgary Flames feature
Sports Illustrated’s Oct. 27, 2021 piece “It’s a Good Time to be a Calgary Flames Fan Right Now” details the Canadian team’s hot start to the 2021-22 NHL season and features a photo I took of the Flames during a 5-1 win over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 25.
In Calgary, it feels more like Springtime in Vienna, as Flames fans are stoked to see a group that looks far more offensively powerful and defensively responsible than did the Calgary team that missed the playoffs last season.
