I’m really starting to like this guy now. Seantrel Henderson’s commitment to USC on live TV Wednesday was newsworthy enough to get some of my photos picked up, but rumors today, first reported by the New York Times, say the big man will wait until the college’s legal troubles calm down before signing his name anywhere.
What’s that mean for me? More headlines, stories and more of my photos!
Another of my shots got picked up by Sports Illustrated earlier today in a special photo gallery detailing the recruitment of Henderson. Check out the gallery here:
A followup story about Henderson today on SI.com has one of my shots of him putting on a USC cap.
Let’s see how long this story has legs. Today’s news about his lukewarm committment will loom over college football for a bit I think:
“From the New York Times: Seantrel Henderson, the highly recruited offensive lineman who announced Wednesday that he was going to Southern California, has not signed a letter of intent to play for the Trojans. According to Henderson’s father, Sean, he will wait until U.S.C. appears before an N.C.A.A. infractions committee from Feb. 19-21 to hear about possible sanctions for the program before deciding whether to sign the letter.”
MaxPreps has a nice writeup of yesterday’s signings, featuring a pair of my photos here:
It’s also featured on CBSSports.com’s homepage:
Have to be honest, I’d never heard of Seantrel before last week. I’m happy we finally met.
