A quick update from this weekend’s action at West Point, where I got to see Army’s lacrosse and baseball programs seal their trips to their respective Patriot League playoffs.

Army lacrosse beat Holy Cross, 13-10, and will play in a semi-final playoff game on Friday at 3 p.m. at Michie Stadium. West Point is hosting the conference championship, so if they advance, they’ll have a chance to win the whole thing on Sunday at home.

Perfect weather on Saturday made for really nice shooting conditions for me. There were a lot of people at this game too, so I tried to work them into the backgrounds as I could:

As for baseball, they took three of four games this weekend against Lafayette and will begin the playoffs as the No. 1 seed. Not bad for the defending champs!

Left-hander Steve Cummings started Game 2 on Saturday, which Army lost. They bounced back Sunday to sweep the four-game set.
