Army may be 0-2 in games I’ve photographed this season, but I’m 2-for-2 so far in getting some love on ESPN.com. In this week’s “Best of Week 5” college football photo gallery, ESPN selected this shot (above) of Stony Brook’s Miguel Maysonet getting dragged back to the ground by the Army defense during the Seawolves’ 23-3 win at Michie Stadium.

Here’s my theory: someone at ESPN.com likes Army, or makes a point to spread the love beyond the top-25 schools to the service academies in these feature photography galleries, and either way, that’s really cool. Everyone out there is used to seeing Alabama and Stanford and USC and Oregon — sometimes it’s nice to take a peek into what’s happening at smaller schools and unique situations like this.
