Mets bring up Ike for Queens debut

A quick note, or acknowledgment, of Ike Davis getting the call today by the Mets. Davis was a first-round pick in 2008 and made his Minor League debut down in Brookyn, where I shot him a couple times.

I know Mets fans are a miserable bunch these days (fine with me), but I think Davis will actually be a good contributor for this inept team.

Let’s turn back the clock, way back to 2008, when Ike was just a little Minor Leaguer in Coney Island:
